After our dinner last night, I went through the fridge, freezer and cupboards to check what I had, then sat with my trusty pen and notepad and wrote out my meal plan for the week, and accompanying shopping list.
As I have said before, I shop at Aldi, it’s 5 minutes from where I live, staff are friendly, as are (most) of the customers, it’s well stocked, clean and great value.
I have bunged a few ‘cheat’ meals in as I know I will be busy some days – tonight is one of those days, I have a Chiropractors appointment, and know I won’t feel like doing a ‘Nigella’ in the kitchen later, so we are having Aldi’s Salmon Wellington with new potatoes and salad – it’s really lovely, expensive compared to what I would normally spend – a payday treat 😇
I,ve given you a sneak peak at the contents of my fridge, some good, home grown runner beans, home made hummus for snacking, half a melon, some bad, bottled larger, wine and homemade fudge 😋 Salad drawers stuffed full and the freezer is stocked now too. I am guessing that most of you will have a similar fridge on payday.
Not at work tomorrow, so will have a ‘doing day’ – washing, housework and cooking 😍
