Back to normal today, meal plan planned, shopping list written, go, go, go….
Tonight we are having Pork chops in sage butter, with cheesy baked Gnocchi and salad. Very disappointed as our local Aldi have stopped selling Gnocchi, so I had to go to Sainsburys, costs more and is further to travel….
The Gnocchi is shop bought, the sauce homemade, I mix 200ml milk, 100g Manchego cheese, 20g of plain flour, 20g butter, a teaspoon of English mustard powder, a few sprigs of Thyme leaves and a pinch of salt to the Thermomix bowl and mix on speed 4, heat 70-80 for 5 minutes – I want the sauce quiet ‘wet’ for the gnocchi so soak up, put the gnocchi into an oven proof dish, cover in the sauce and sprinkle with cheese, oven bake for 15 mins at 180
I pan fry the Pork Chops in sage butter, till they are a lovely colour, then into the oven for 10 minutes to finish cooking, whilst I sort out the plates.
I’ve also baked some oaty biscuits with raisins – well it is Biscuit day on GBBO🎪🍪 I used this recipe http://thermobliss.com/thermomix-oat-biscuits/
The only difference is that I chilled the mix before cutting up, rolling and baking 🤓
