Ok – Where did the rest of the year go? It feel impossible that it is already November, as we slip back into that twilight period of it being dark when we leave for work, and dark when we come home – comfort food is needed….
I have some lovely Pork and herb sausages with very high meat levels (89%) not only does this mean that there are less fillers but that they are tastier and less shrinkage.
I am oven cooking the sausages, and add a finely sliced large onion to the oven tray, to add to the gravy.
Whilst these are cooking, I cut up 2 large baking potatoes and boil in salted water till very tender, then mash with a splash of milk, a knob of butter and salt and pepper till smooth and creamy.
Serve these classic basics with buttered peas and thick onion gravy – what’s not to like 🤗
