All I want for Christmas… is a Tawa

We are having the curry I made yesterday, it’s been sitting in the fridge overnight to let the flavours marinate – I am not going to give a recipe, as I used a readymade paste I found in the cupboard, and added a couple of spoons of it to a tin of chopped tomatoes to the lamb and veg. All I need to do today is reheat and add chopped coriander.

I am going to make some chapati/roti I love making them, they are so simple, but I dont  have a proper frying pan, just a chefs pan and they keep folding over – like the title says, I have put a proper Tawa in my Christmas list 🎄It’s the only thing on it at the moment and will wave the list under Hubby’s nose at some point 😉 I have made these before so here is the link Meat Free Monday – Sweet Spud of Mine..

Along with the chapati I’ll make brown rice and serve the curry with a blob of yoghurt and lots of chopped fresh coriander, lime pickle and mango chutney – easy peasy.

Hi - I'm a 49 yo Mum to 3 kids - Jordan (23), Grace (21) and Max (19). And Wife to my lovely Husband, Dave and step mum to 4 fur babies, our cats Eric, Ernie, Cilla and Bobbie. We live on the beautiful Isle of Wight, Hubby and I were born here, and just love our home. As I hurtle towards 50, my life as a full time (working) parent is coming to an end, with my eldest 2 kids living their own lives, and my youngest who started University in September. I realised that this is not a time to be sad, but a time to take time to spend time on some of the things I enjoy doing - mainly cooking, crafting and creating Pinterest boards for said thing s :) This blog is just a way for me to record the next stages of our lives - I hope you enjoy my ramblings...
