Every Time we say Goodbye….

Our little boy goes back to Uni tomorrow, it has been so great to have him back over the holidays, especially when his big brother and sister and their partners joined us.

I am always sad when it’s time for him to go, I moan about the mugs in their rooms and the endless washing mountain, the daily negotiations about whether they will be eating at home or not – all part of the joy of parenthood to young adults πŸ€—

They don’t get away with much, and are all well trained in using the household appliances and can cobble together a meal πŸ˜‰

Not our actual meal – but Youngest tore into ours before I could snap.

Anyway, when asked what Our beloved child would like to eat on his last night with us, the reply was Takeaway….. Β so that’s what is on the menu – Chinese…πŸ™„ Not healthy, not cheap but it’s only once in a while πŸ˜‡

I am posting a link to our local Chinese TakeawayΒ ,Β just in case any of you are interested – I am really nosy when it comes to Menus and often envious of the types of food some have access to around the world, and marvel at how lucky we are to have such a diverse choice of food.

Hi - I'm a 49 yo Mum to 3 kids - Jordan (23), Grace (21) and Max (19). And Wife to my lovely Husband, Dave and step mum to 4 fur babies, our cats Eric, Ernie, Cilla and Bobbie. We live on the beautiful Isle of Wight, Hubby and I were born here, and just love our home. As I hurtle towards 50, my life as a full time (working) parent is coming to an end, with my eldest 2 kids living their own lives, and my youngest who started University in September. I realised that this is not a time to be sad, but a time to take time to spend time on some of the things I enjoy doing - mainly cooking, crafting and creating Pinterest boards for said thing s :) This blog is just a way for me to record the next stages of our lives - I hope you enjoy my ramblings...
