We are having a relaxed weekend, and dinner will be the same.
I found 2 sirloin steaks from Market Porter in the freezer, so will griddle them and serve with a salad and Boiled potatoes for Hubby, at his request.
I have sliced various Aldi salad Veg, baby gem Lettuce, spring onions, radishes, advacado, celery.
The steaks, cooked on the hot griddle for a couple of minutes each side, the potatoes, peeled and boiled till tender, dressed in a little salted butter.
I have addd some Stilton to mine, as it needs using and tastes amazing with steak and advacado. A drizzle of salad dressing and we are good to go 😍
I am also making (Lidl fake) Baileys Chocolate Pots, a recipe that I found by a fellow blogger The Aldi Lovers Cookbook Recipe
I have amended the recipe method for Thermomix. I start my melting 20g of butter, heat 50, speed 1 for a minute or till melted, then add 6 digestives and wizz on speed 5 till crumbs and butter are blended – I popped this mix into 4 glasses (greedy 😉). Inthen wizz the bowl clean of crumbs with a bit of hot water, empty and dry off the worst of the water.
Add 200g of broken milk chocolate to the bowl, wizz for 5 seconds at speed 6, then turn down to speed 2, heat 50 for a few minutes till melted and liquid, add 100ml of your baileys and mix again same speed and heat for another minute till blended.
Add 300ml double cream, speed 3/4 till fully belended and pour onto your biscuit mix.
Pop into the fridge to firm up for a few hours.
